Current status: For performance reasons, the DRIVER browsing service is optimized so that:

  1. it produces a rough estimate on the number of documents for each "Browse by" entity entry (e.g. authors, subjects, repositories)
  2. a percentage threshold is being used and only the top entity entries are represented in the list.


Future enhancements: the DRIVER technical team is working on producing a far more efficient, performance and quality wise browsing service, which will represent accurately all entities (authors, subjects, repositories, etc.) within the DRIVER Information Space, while returning precise document numbers for each entity.
